Western Baby Clothes

name

Boy’s Western Wear - Comfortable and Durable

Author: Susan Dowling

When I found out I was having a baby boy, I couldn’t have been happier.  Then I started watching little boys as they played and wrestled in the parks or the way a lot of them seemed to behave in public.  My pure joy began to turn into anxiety. After the shock of how different boys are from girls set in, the costs started adding up in my head.  How many clothes would I be going through in my little guy’s lifetime?  The clothes that were the most expensive claim that they last the longest but even if that was true - how could I afford them?  My friend - mother of 3 boys herself - introduced me to boys western wear.  With a few pairs of jeans and the majority of my son’s shirts being western shirts, I have felt confident that I will only need to buy him new clothes when he grows out of his current western wear.

Boys are built to play hard and get dirty.  With the clothes out now that are meant, in particular, to look good, its difficult to find something that will last as long as they play and still be comfortable enough for them to want to play.   No more screaming at them to get out of the mud or stop crawling on the ground.   Now you can sit back and relax while they have all the fun they can handle. Western wear will give you the ability to enjoy your boys rather than chase them around with a washcloth yelling at them.

Western apparel is the one style of clothing that knows what it means to need durable clothing for work or play.  Whether your little man likes to work alongside daddy or practice their roping they will be prepared to get dirty.  Just the same they will be comfortable enough to want to wear their western wear to play in or just hang out.  Our western shirts will also make them feel stylish and confident to approach anything in their young lives.

With such a wide variety of western shirts, you’re sure to find what you are looking for when you begin shopping for western wear for your little cowboy.   We can help you find just what you’re looking for.  If you have something in mind that we may not have on our webpage, give us a call and we will help you find that perfect piece of western apparel you are searching for.  Many of our western shirts also have the option of buttons or pearl snaps and some of our western shirts also come in short or long sleeve.

The cool weather is coming soon and like so many parents; we all want to be prepared for school days and cold days.  Start here and let us help you find the perfect clothes you need for your little cowboy.

5 Simple & Inexpensive Baby Shower Gift Ideas.

Author: Jay Gilbert

A baby shower is an exciting event for a new mom where she and the new baby are the center of attention. Even if you are not attending the baby shower (for example if you are a male family member or friend) it is still a good idea to pick up at least a small gift for the baby.

The new mom may have made a list of some general things that the baby will need, and if she has a list like this, you can check it out. However, frequently you will have to pick a gift without a list. So here are some pretty 'safe bets' as far as baby shower gifts go. I got a few of these gift ideas when I was in a Target store looking for a gift. I asked several parents who had babies with them in their shopping cart what sort of gifts would be good for a new baby and here are some of the answers that I got.

These baby gift ideas are very easy to find and very reasonable at a store like Target. For $50 you can get a whole assortment of goodies.

  1. Clothing: All babies need clothing, and they grow very fast! If you have ever shopped for baby clothes you may be amazed to see that there are several different sizes of clothes needed for the baby just during the first year!

There is 0-1 month, 3 to 6 months, 6 to 9 months and on and on! Therefore, there are plenty of types of clothing that will be needed in plenty of different sizes. Just remember to keep in mind how old the baby currently is, because baby clothing sizes change rapidly, and you would not want to buy a gift that is already too small by the time you present it to the parents!

  1. Teething toys: All babies 'teeth' and will need little chew toys of sorts. These may become dirty quickly and it is probably smart to replace them often, so a number of these teething toys may be useful. You might find ones with rattles or bells. Just make sure it is not big enough for a baby to swallow.

  2. Stuffed animals: A cute stuffed animal may make a nice gift. The softest kind available may be liked the most for snuggly comfort. Additionally, some of these stuffed animals may have sounds built in. You may want one that makes sounds, or you may want an old fashioned one without noise. A good example is Winnie-The-Pooh or Eyeore.

  3. Diapers: Parents always need diapers and they are a very practical and useful gift. Just remember to look at the sizes correctly, considering how many months old the baby is. You also might find out what type of diapers the parent prefers to use.

  4. Baby books: It is great to read to young children and really helps there little minds grow. While a very young baby won't be able to understand stories yet, parents are always looking to build a nice little library of quality books to read to their children.

There you have 5 simple baby shower gift ideas! Hopefully you will be able to find a nice gift or even a shopping bag full of little gifts to bring the baby and the parents enjoyment.

Hand Knit Baby Clothes

Hand Knit Baby Clothes (15) by redleaf9

Is the Art of Knitting Dead?

Author: Adam Singleton

Many Britons growing up during the 20th century, especially in the 1950s and 1960s, would have been extremely familiar with watching one or more relatives knitting whole ranges of jumpers, baby clothes and blankets by hand simply using a pair of knitting needles.

They lived in an age of austerity, before globalisation and cheap worldwide clothing imports. For many knitting was a necessary activity in order to keep family and friends cheaply clothed. However, mass production of clothing primarily in the Far East means that now, certainly in real terms clothing is far less expensive than it was in the 50s and 60s. So, knitting has evolved to become more of a popular pastime than a necessity, but as an art it is certainly a long way from dead.

For example, a large selection of baby clothes can still be knitted, providing not only a cheaper option than purchasing those garments from specialist children’s clothiers, but can also provide a great deal of satisfaction for the relative or friend who created them. Blankets, shawls, jumpers and booties are all knitting favourites and now patterns and yarns are both widely available from the web. Similarly, adult sweaters knitted from the finest yarns are still popular presents to give at Christmas.

However, as well as being a productive pastime for home knitters there is also a thriving commercial knitting industry within the UK, much of it based north of the border. Indeed, Scottish textile workers number 22,000 proving that the industry is alive and well within the UK. Generating exports valuing almost £23million a year it provides a valuable source of income and does much to promote the quality of textiles produced in Scotland.

There is also a fantastic selection of yarns available from Scotland for both domestic and commercial use. Glasgow and Edinburgh boast a number of colourful boutiques that offer a cornucopia of differing yarns designed to appeal to knitters and crocheters alike. In addition to home-produced yarns the shops also offer a wide and varied range from all over the globe in order to satisfy demand from UK-based knitters.

Whether knitting for pleasure or profit there is no doubt that the internet has allowed knitters to get in touch with those providing knitting necessities, increasing their choices. It has also allowed for the development of an online knitting community, for example at UK Hand Knitting Association which provides visitors with a list of resources and advice on how to start a knitting group.

It may now be more of a pleasure than a necessity, but knitting is a long way from dying out as an art; certainly in the UK, at least!
